Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if coaching is right for me?

Coaching is for men who know they're capable of more and are ready to do something about it. You don't need to have everything figured out before you begin. Whether you're feeling stuck, lacking direction, struggling with consistency, or simply wanting to grow in your faith, health, or leadership, coaching provides the guidance and accountability to help you move forward.

The only requirement is a willingness to learn, be challenged, and take action.

What makes Forward Men's Coaching different?

I believe lasting transformation happens when every area of life is aligned.

Rather than focusing on just one piece of the puzzle, my coaching takes a holistic approach that helps you grow physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. As a certified personal trainer and nutritionist with more than eight years of ministry experience, I combine practical coaching with biblical truth to help you build lasting habits, strengthen your relationship with God, and become the man He created you to be.

This isn't about becoming a better version of yourself. It's about becoming who God created you to be.

Why do you only coach men?

While everyone faces challenges in life, I believe men face unique struggles and carry unique responsibilities. Throughout my years in ministry, I've developed a deep passion for helping men become stronger leaders, husbands, fathers, and followers of Christ.

By focusing exclusively on men, I'm able to provide coaching that speaks directly to the challenges they face and the calling God has placed on their lives.

Do I have to be a Christian?

No.

Men from all backgrounds are welcome.

That said, my coaching is grounded in a biblical worldview. Scripture, prayer, and Christian principles are foundational to how I coach. If you're looking for coaching that's rooted in faith and centered on God's design for your life, you'll feel right at home.

What do you mean by "dominion"?

Dominion is one of the foundational ideas behind Forward Men's Coaching.

When I talk about dominion, I'm referring to the responsibility God gave humanity to faithfully steward every area of life under His authority. It's not about power over other people. It's about leading yourself well, honoring God with your life, caring for your health, serving your family, and living with intentionality.

My goal is to help men reclaim that responsibility and live with purpose, discipline, and confidence.

How do I know which coaching package is right for me?

Every man starts from a different place, which is why I offer three coaching paths.

Life Coaching is designed for men who want to grow in multiple areas of life through greater clarity, discipline, accountability, and purpose.

Health & Wellness Coaching focuses on building sustainable habits around fitness, nutrition, and overall health.

Spiritual Coaching is centered on deepening your relationship with Christ through Scripture, prayer, and discipleship.

If you're not sure which package is the best fit, don't worry. We'll discuss your goals during your discovery call and determine the right place to begin.

How much does coaching cost?

Every coaching relationship is personalized because every man begins from a different place and has different goals. Rather than asking you to choose a package based on price alone, I prefer to start with a conversation.

During your free discovery call, we'll discuss where you are today, where you'd like to grow, and which coaching path is the best fit for your current season of life. From there, I'll walk you through the investment, answer any questions you have, and help you determine whether coaching is the right next step.

My goal isn't to sell you a coaching package. My goal is to help you make an informed decision that's right for you.

What can I expect from coaching?

Every coaching relationship is personalized, but each program includes weekly one-on-one coaching sessions focused on helping you move toward your goals.

Together, we'll identify where you are today, clarify where you want to go, develop practical action steps, and create accountability that helps you follow through.

Coaching isn't just about great conversations. It's about creating lasting transformation through intentional action.

Why do you require a three-month commitment?

Real transformation doesn't happen overnight.

While a single conversation can provide encouragement, lasting growth takes consistency, accountability, and intentional practice. Three months gives us the time to build momentum, establish healthy habits, overcome obstacles, and create meaningful change that lasts beyond our time together.

Do you offer virtual coaching?

Yes.

Most coaching sessions are conducted virtually, allowing you to receive coaching wherever you are. If you're local, in-person sessions may also be available depending on scheduling and location.

Is coaching the same as counseling or therapy?

No.

While there can be overlap, counseling and coaching serve different purposes.

I like to think of counseling as archaeology and coaching as architecture.

Archaeology carefully uncovers and examines what has already been built. Counseling and therapy often help people process past experiences, heal from wounds, and understand how those experiences continue to shape their lives today.

Architecture, on the other hand, is about intentionally designing and building what's next. Coaching is future-focused and action-oriented. Together, we'll identify where you are today, clarify where you want to go, and develop practical strategies to help you move forward with purpose.

That doesn't mean we ignore the past. Your experiences matter, and we'll talk about them when they're influencing where you are today. But our primary focus is on building the life you want to live through intentional action, biblical wisdom, and consistent accountability.

If I ever believe your needs would be better served by a licensed counselor or another professional, I'll gladly encourage you in that direction. Sometimes the healthiest path is coaching, sometimes it's counseling, and sometimes it's both.

What if I don't know exactly what I need?

That's actually more common than you might think.

Many men begin coaching simply knowing that something needs to change. During your discovery call, we'll talk through your current season, identify the areas where you're feeling stuck, and determine the coaching path that's best suited to help you move forward.

You don't need all the answers before you start.

How do I get started?

The first step is scheduling a free discovery call.

This is an opportunity for us to get to know each other, discuss your goals, answer any questions you have, and determine whether coaching is the right fit. If we decide to move forward together, we'll create a personalized plan designed to help you take your next steps with confidence and purpose.
